After I lost my job several years ago due to corporate downsizing, I struggled through by doing any type of work that I could get. It was a difficult time, and I was overqualified for most of the jobs that I applied for. It was depressing going on interviews for positions in coffee shops, and most of the time, I wasn’t hired anyway. Because there seemed to be little chance that my former employer would ever recovery enough economically to rehire those who had been let go, I knew that I’d probably have to find an entirely different line of work in order to regain financial stability. I finally decided to investigate the possibility of servicing and filling soda vending machines.
Having my own vending machines business is much more lucrative and enjoyable than working in a coffee shop, and I’m beginning to build my bank account back up to where it was before I lost my corporate job. I’ve also discovered that that I like the freedom of not working in an office environment.
